Meetings occur at a frequency
dictated by the client. Typically, these start
out quarterly and then become less frequent
as the client becomes more comfortable with
his or her investments. At Barnett & Company,
we encourage investors to request a meeting
whenever there is a change in financial circumstance
or any desire to discuss a concern.
At Barnett & Company, we regard the management
of our clients’ investment accounts as
an ongoing process of consulting. Our firm works
to enhance the value of each portfolio by constantly
seeking, evaluating and acting on information
that can affect its effectiveness.
Our compensation from each client is based on
the market value of that investor’s assets
at the beginning of each calendar quarter. Since
our fees are a function of the size of each
portfolio we manage (subject to our minimum
fee requirement), we share the same side of
the table with our clients in making the decisions
that affect their investments.
Barnett & Company earns no commission from
the sale of any investment product or service.
It would be unlawful for us to do so, in fact,
since we are registered with the Securities
and Exchange Commission, an agency of the United
States government. We believe this orientation
also allows us to avoid the conflict-of-interest
questions that could arise with a financial
counselor who offered investment advice and
then collected a commission or fee for its implementation.
Our firm adds value through the research we
perform, the quality we offer in supervising
assets, and the uncompromising nature of the
advice we give our clients. Is an affiliation
with Barnett & Company in your best financial
interests? We invite you to contact us at 423.756.0125
to find out more or to set up a no-obligation
analysis of your current financial holdings.
