John Loehle is a Research Analyst, Associate Product Manager, and Trader for Barnett & Company. He joined Barnett & Company in 2013. His roles are to provide investigative equity research and credit research support, lead the investment team’s discussions at Barnett & Company investment committee meetings, and iteratively assist portfolio managers to develop custom portfolio product solutions that match unique client needs.
Additionally, John is in charge of all daily trading of equity and fixed income securities for Barnett & Company. His experience in the financial industry includes an academic internship at Galtere, Ltd., a macro commodity hedge fund in New York, NY; and as a sell-side analyst internship at Avondale Partners, LLC, an investment bank in Nashville, TN.
John holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional designation and a FINRA Series 65 license. He served on the Society Board of the CFA Society of East Tennessee from 2017-2020 before moving to the Austin, TX area. John received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business: Finance Investments and a minor in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a Coca-Cola Scholar, AXA Scholar, Lowe’s Scholar, and Toyota Scholar recipient for his contributions to community service.
