John Loehle is a Research Analyst and Trader for Barnett & Company. His roles are to provide investigative equity research and credit research support, giving recommendations to the investment team at weekly Barnett & Company investment committee meetings. Additionally, John is in charge of daily trading of equity and high yield/distressed fixed income. His experience in the financial industry includes internships at Galtre, Ltd., a macro commodity hedge fund in New York, NY; and as a sell-side analyst at an investment bank in Nashville, TN, Avondale Partners, LLC. John is a CFA® charterholder since 2016, holds a FINRA Series 65 license, and has passed the first exam of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) program. He is also on the Society Board of the CFA Society of East Tennessee. John has a passion for landscape photography, travel, and multicultural studies. John is a Tennessee native, from Tullahoma, and moved to Chattanooga in 2009. He and his wife, Maria, and their Havanese dog, Sofia reside in Chattanooga, TN. John received a degree in Investment Finance (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a Coca-Cola Scholar, AXA Scholar, Lowe’s Scholar, and Toyota Scholar for his contributions in community service.
